Who are the Hospitallers?

As an order of chivalry* with international membership, the Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem (HOSJ) is particularly active in North America and Europe. We are primarily devoted to good works and helping others in need.

We are a noble charitable organization of Christian origin with two main goals:

1. To give through our yearly oblations to local registered charities.

2. To attract members based on merit (military or civilian service), honourable character, and personal integrity.

The Knights Hospitaller Foundation is a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency. As a Public Foundation, our charitable registration number is 118984509RR0001.

* Chivalry:  the medieval knightly system with its religious, moral, and social code. The ideal knight has courage, honour, courtesy, justice, and a readiness to help the weak.
