There is no Order regulation regarding the disbursement of charitable funds.  It is left to the Commanderies to decide where their funds go, provided that:

  • The donation is to a registered charity that emulates the Order's mission of hospice (food and shelter).

  • In 2011, it was agreed by the three Grand Priors of the Order that the priority of the Order should be food banks, as it was difficult to provide shelter with the funds available. It was also noted that food would provide the most immediate relief to those in need.

  • Any Commandery member may make a motion, at a meeting or by email, to support any emergency charitable endeavors provided the Commandery funds are available, or members are willing to donate.
